Abstract

Novel properties of excitons in p-type modulation-doped GaAs-AlGaAs multi-quantum wells were investigated in high magnetic fields and in the wide temperature range. The intensity of the lowest heavy hole exciton, which is quenched by carriers at zero field, was found to increase with increasing magnetic field or temperature. The band filling effect is thought to be responsible for these phenomena.
