Abstract

Objetive. To determine the most frequent location of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in patients treated at the Echocardiography Laboratory of the Cardiology Clinic Regional Teaching Hospital Daniel Alcides Carrion Huancayo. Methods: A descriptive, retrospective, cross−5anuary 2012 was designed to December 2014. A review of the reports of color Doppler ultrasound of the venous system of lower and upper limbs was performed. 234 (100%) cases were included. The 44.87% (105) were male and 55.13% (129) women. Informa- tion was collected on a questionnaire. X2 test and t Student for statistical analysis. Significance was p 0.05). Conclusions: The most common site of DVT was in the superficial femoral vein, followed by the common femoral vein and popliteal vein, most oGen being on the leG side. DVT was 9 times more common in relation to the superficial vein thrombosis.
