AbstractWealth Management (MIC: 8.8 SIC: 6282 NAIC: 523930)Franklin Resources is an asset management company. Through its direct and indirect subsidiary companies, Co. provides investment management and fund administration services to open‐end and closed‐end investment companies, institutional accounts, high net‐worth families, individuals and separate accounts in the U.S. and internationally. In its secondary business and operating segment, banking/finance, Co. provides clients with select retail‐banking and consumer lending services through its bank subsidiaries. As of Sept 30 2005, Co. had S453.10 billion in assets under its management with approximately 16.6 million billable shareholder accounts worldwide.
