Abstract

A quantitative analysis of VCGs was made on 149 autopsy cases including 63 cases with LVH.Significant findings in the cases with LVH were (1) the enlargement of QRS loop and (2) the displacement of T loop anteriorly, inferiorly and to the right. The direction of QRS loop was almost the same in both groups with and without LVH.Although further studies on normal healthy cases are necessary to establish diagnostic criteria, the magnitude of QRS vectors and the directions of T loops are useful parameters for the diagnosis of LVH.
