Abstract

Improvements in preventive medicine and health education could save thousands of French lives each year, according to a national conference on health that took place last week in Paris. About 80 doctors and experts from all sectors of France's health services were invited by the government to propose improvements to both the country's health and health-funding difficulties. The government is expected to announce new health policies by Sept 14.
