1. Setting Up the French ExerciseTo make the evaluation exercise valuable and useful it is important to prepare theevaluation material according to a rigorous methodology. This includes havingclear criteria for choosing the words, being aware of the consequences on the eval-uation of the dictionary and corpus choice. Also, because sense disambiguation is adifficult task even for human beings, it is important to provide comparison figureswith human tagger agreement.
