Abstract
Abstract: The present case study explores a fragment of the medieval poem Pamphilus , found in Frankfurt. This fragment is one of the oldest witnesses of this poem and thus of high interest to better understand the text’s early transmission. The nature of a fragment lends itself to exploratory data analysis using the graph database neo4j. The case study will explore how network metrics can be applied to the study of fragments and show the special care that has to be taken when working with fragmentary material.
