Abstract
The mass spectra of several alkyl borates (RO) 3B (R = Me, Et, n-Pr, n-Bu) were obtained. Mechanisms of fragmentation can be established in detail for methyl and ethyl borates and in part for some of the higher borates from the presence in the mass spectra of relevant metastable peaks. Some appearance potentials of interest were also measured.
