Abstract

A Multiple stepwise linear Regression was conducted to investigate the level of impact of the fragile state indicator (FSI) components Social Indicators (SIFSI), Economic Indicators (EIFSA), and Political and Military Indicators (PMISFI) on the level of the Global Terrorism Indicator (GTI). The stepwise excludes the Political and Military Indicators (PMISFI) as an independent variable. The result concludes that the Social Indicators (SIFSI), Economic Indicators (EIFSA) variation as a predictor to the dependent variable (Global Terrorism Indicator, (GTI)). The fragile state index content developed in collaboration with Georgetown University, the Institute of peacekeeping. Global Terrorism Index (GTI) contains data referring to terrorist activity, and which combines factors associated with terrorism, and a series of data have been read by specialized researchers, and these data are produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), in collaboration with the Department of the terrorism study at the University of Maryland.
