Abstract

By using Monte Carlo simulation, we study the dynamics around equilibrium of a uniform frustrated three-dimensionalIsing model with nearest-neighbour ferromagnetic interactions and small, but long-range (coulombic) antiferromagnetic interactions. This model exhibits a strong slowing down of the relaxations for temperatures below the critical temperature of the unfrustrated model. The characteristics ofthis slowing down - super-Arrhenius activated temperaturedependence of the relaxation time and non-exponential decayof the correlation function - are similar to those observed in fragile glass-forming liquids.
