Abstract

AbstractAn edentulous woman presented with pain, swelling and ulceration in the anterior floor of mouth; the findings on clinical examination suggested the presence of an anteriorly placed salivary calculus with trauma to the overlying soft tissues from the mobile lower denture. Radiographic examination, however, revealed fracture and displacement of the genial tubercles. The patient was managed conservatively and all symptoms subsequently settled.
