Abstract

Strictures of the pancreaticojejunal anastomosis after pancreaticoduodenectomy may lead to pancreatic duct obstruction. ERCP alone is often technically unsuccessful in these patients, and EUS-guided rendezvous or transenteric pancreatic duct stenting have been performed as rescue techniques.1-8 However, these procedures may be associated with significant morbidity. Herein, we present a case of inadvertent fracturing of an EUS-FNA needle during an attempted EUS-guided rendezvous for an inaccessible main pancreatic duct after pancreaticoduodenectomy.
