Abstract

AbstractThe fractionation of broad dextran fractions using preparative scale gel permeation chromatography has been carried out. A batch system was used, consisting of ten borosilicate columns, each of 5.1 cm i.d. and 70 cm long and packed with Spherosil XOB075 porous silica beads.The repetitive injection technique was employed and the effects of feed, charge volume and concentration on the molecular weight distribution of the products were evaluated.
