Abstract

This work aimed to study the problem of a thermoelastic infinite medium with a spherical cavity in the context of fractional order thermoelastic diffusion theory using modified Caputo-Fabrizio’s definition. The surface of the spherical cavity is taken to be traction-free and subjected to heating. The governing equations are derived. Laplace transform technique is applied and the direct approach method is used to obtain the solution of the problem in the transformed domain. The solution of the problem in the physical domain is obtained numerically using a method based on Fourier expansion techniques. The obtaining results are represented graphically.
