Abstract

The central pattern generator can generate periodic signals to regulate movement and is a core part in the locomotion control system. Recently, a lot of investigators start to study the fractional order programmable central pattern generators. In the conference paper, a new programmable central pattern generator based on fractional order calculus is presented. The sine signal, the complex signal and angles of compass-like robot are selected as the inputs, and the simulations display that the fractional order programmable central pattern generator can learn periodic signals. In brief, a new fractional order central pattern generator model is built and it is a beneficial supplement to the field of the central pattern generator.
