Abstract
A major goal of mathematics instruction is the involvement of students in discovery. One neglected method of accomplishing this objective is through visual models. Such models often have symmetries or contain patterns arising from the relative sizes or arrangements of figures. These patterns will usually have corresponding numerical patterns.
