Abstract

We introduce a random hierarchical model of a spin glass which allows the Parisi order function q(x) to be calculated by a simple functional recursion relation. The resulting q(x) has a devil's staircase form, and the staircase is complete if the fraction p of antiferromagnetic bonds is less than 2-1/2. The fractal dimensionality of the Cantor ser of points where q(x) is not flat is (-2 log2p)-1.
