Abstract
Fractal crystallization in sandwiches of a-Ge/Au/a-Ge is studied. We find fractal patterns of polycrystalline Ge when annealing temperature is lower than 300°C. Their morphology and fractal dimensions vary with annealing, and experimental analyses indicate that fractal crystallization maybe results from interdiffusion and agglomeration of polycrystalline Au film.
