Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, we present an image processing method for seamless tiled display system. An ordinary personal computer (PC) is employed to preprocess the system, i.e., to generate geometry calibration and intensity blending parameters, with software. And a hardware image processor based on field programmable gate array (FPGA) is employed to divide the source video image into two sub-images according to the parameters mentioned above. The sub-images projected on the screen splice seamlessly, presenting a visually comfortable high-resolution image to the audience. Taking advantages of software and hardware, this method could process high-resolution video image with low cost and power consumption. Experimental results show that the proposed method is effective.KeywordsMulti-projectionGeometry calibrationIntensity blendingFPGA
