Abstract

In the paper an FPGA-based dynamic model exact tracking control system of a permanent magnet synchronous motor is presented. The parallel processing of motor control system using modern FPGAs allows the complex servo algorithms to be proceeded within a microsecond. In the paper a novel current control principle for a drive with a PWM inverter is presented. The experimental results prove that the current control bandwidth can exceed 4kHz by 8kHz PWM frequency.
