Abstract
Polarization-dependent four-wave-mixing femto-second spectroscopy has been performed on CdTe/Cd 0.88Mn 0.12Te quantum wells at low temperatures and in high magnetic fields. Two patterns of quantum beat have been observed one from an exciton–trion, and the other from an exciton–biexciton, depending on a choice of two-incident laser light polarization. The spectrally resolved four-wave-mixing signal showed characteristic spectra at the energy position of the charged exciton and the biexciton (singlet and triplet), respectively.
