Abstract
AbstractThe homogeneous deformation method is extended to study the fourth‐order elastic constants for nonprimitive lattice structure solids. The extended theory is used to study the fourth‐order elastic (FOE) constants of CaF2, SrF2, and BaF2 solids. The second‐order pressure derivatives of the second‐order elastic (SOE) constants for these solids are also calculated.
