Abstract

The author carried out the renormalization -- the technique of rendering a quantum field theory finite -- of the cubic scalar field theory in six dimensions to the four loop order. The technically impressive results obtained have applications to various models of interest in statistical mechanics and field theory, including the Lee-Yang edge singularity and the percolation problem.
