Abstract

A set of reliable magnetic diagnostics are required for tokamak plasma operation and control. Before the plasma operation in a tokamak, magnetic field patterns are mapped inside the vacuum vessel using the magnetic probes. In this paper, Hall-effect sensors based magnetic measurement is proposed. Since the wired connections made inside the tokamak need extra care for reliable operation, in this work, the attempts are made to use the wireless based magnetic diagnostics module. This paper reports a prototype four channel wireless data acquisition module to map the magnetic field patterns inside the tokamak.
