Abstract

Four cases of tympanosclerosis were reported with ahistorical review of its literatures. Two male and two female patients of less than 30 years old with chief complaints of otorrhoea and hearing loss were examined. Surgery revealed main sclerotic regions in the epitympanum and mastoid cavity. Several types of tympanoplasty were performed on these cases. Some clinical considerations on incidence, age and sex, clinical signs, audiogram, operation proce. (lures and histopathological findings of tympanos). clerosis were discussed.
