Abstract

The genus Oecetis McLachlan is one of two largest genera in Leptoceridae and includes approximately 500 species in the world and 40 species in the East Palearctic region. Four Oecetis species were recorded in North Korea by Kumanski in 1991, but no species are known in South Korea. In this study, we recorded three Oecetis species new to the Korean Peninsula, O. antennata Martynov, O. notata Rambur, and O. caucula Yang and Morse, and an additional species, O. nigropunctata Ulmer, which is previously known in North Korea by Kumanski. Diagnoses, illustrations, and taxonomic remarks are provided for each species.
