Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Safety and molecular mechanism of Four-Agents-Decoction (FADD, or Si-Wu-Tang, SWT: water extracts of Si-Wu), a traditional Chinese herb formula, on endometriosis. (Dysmenorrhea is common in female of reproductive age. Among those dysmenorrheic women, some dysmenorrhea are associated with pelvic diseases such as endometriosis, adenomyosis or uterine myoma. Endometriosis is an important cause of persistent dysmenorrhea. Regular use of FADD to treat dysmenorrhea might unintentionally expose endometriosis to FADD.
