Abstract
We examine the eDee method for three-body calculations in the light of recent criticisms and successes. By a partly qualitative analysis, we demonstrate that eDee is a valid and practical procedure for special three-body models in which absorptiori quenches rearrangement channels and channel coupling potentials are smooth functions of their coordinates.
