Abstract
The piles used for supporting light industrial structures are no different from the piles used to support any other structure, except possibly for the fact that they generally carry lighter loads, especially in comparison to the large red piles frequently used to support high rise buildings. Hence this paper is of a general nature, covering the whole topic of foundations for light industrial buildings. The reader looking for pearls of wisdom about the specific nature of piles used for light industrial developments will be disappointed.
