Abstract

This paper aims to understand how the french philosopher Michel Foucault (1926 1984) argumentatively expands its methodological practice, in the measure it adds one to each other, and in step which discovers them, methods for historical research. Tensing achieve such intent, makes up study on: how their methods are structured in bunt; the objects of study for which these methods turn about (objects which, in turn, influence them); the conclusions it arrives the author in his historical research, under the mediation of the used methods. They also treat, above all, of instruments which contains well-defined political purpose, which is: to denounce or even expose, as political claim, the arbitrary character which is hidden behind the legitimated scientific discourses, demonstrating what which lead the such legitimation is the imanent supression, the subjection, of distinct speeches – operation that follows through relations of power / knowledge which permeate institutions, as well as extending in range to the internal structure of social space in its entirety.
