Clark's interest is in the translation of research on learning, motivation, and organizational change into a more user-friendly form for solving learning and performance problems in work settings. He is the mentor of the Human Performance at Work doctoral program in the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. Dick also manages Atlantic Training Inc., a company that offers workshops and consulting on performance improvement in North America and Europe. His most recent books include; Turning Research into Results: A guide to selecting the right performance solutions (2002, CEP Press) with Fred Estes and Learning from Media: Arguments, analysis and evidence (2001, Information Age Publishers). In 2002, he was awarded the Thomas F. Gilbert Distinguished Professional Achievement Award and a Presidential Citation for Intellectual Leadership from ISPI. Dick is an elected Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 15, Educational Psychology), a Fellow in the Association of Applied Psychology, and a Founding Fellow of the American Psychological Society.
