Abstract

The author considers the interpretation of social support and its formation in the social-pedagogical practice of Ukraine. The methodological analysis of the social support aimed at finding the hidden resources of the development of a family and creating favorable conditions for the restoration of the connection with the social world based on the available opportunities is conducted. It was found that the implementation of social support of the foster family involves periodic planning of social work with the child, parents, family members and social environment. The content of social support planning is noted. The objectives set by the social-pedagogical support of the foster family are described. The fundamental principles of the organization of work to support the functioning of the foster family are noted. The factors that determine the frequency of visits to the foster family during social support are outlined. The main directions of realization of the mediating function of a social worker in social work with a foster family are revealed. The principle of regulation of social support of foster families is revealed. The importance of cooperation between the participants of the process for the implementation of the main task in order to implement quality social rehabilitation and socialization of foster children was noted. The role positions of a social worker who provides social support to a foster family are described. The most promising forms of work of a social worker in the process of accompanying a family of this category have been identified. The research methods used are the search of the available methodological and scientific literature with analysis of the found material, clarification of causal relationships, systematization and analysis of documentation and results of researchers on the problem of the study.
