Abstract

Foshan is the birthplace of Southern Chinese Kung Fu and the Hongquan style, widely spread in Foshan, is a major representative of Foshan Kung Fu. Taking Hongquan as an example, this paper discusses Foshan Kung Fu Cultural Translation from the Perspective of Ecological Translation Studies. We hope this paper will be applied directly to Foshan Kung Fu cultural translations as a means of aiding Kung Fu enthusiasts as they seek to experience traditional Chinese culture and better understand the lifestyle of ordinary Chinese people, thus promoting deep and authentic cultural exchange. Extensions to other bodies of translation may yield similar results.
