Abstract

Introduction It is indicative of the esteem in which Dr. Pusey held the Chicago Dermatological Society that he made a bequest enabling the establishment of this annual festive occasion. Throughout the years that Dr. Pusey was a member of the Society he realized that the meetings were not merely an assembly of dermatologists, gathered to view and discuss cases. The meetings, in addition, engendered friendships and a spirit of cohesion which has been the very crux of the esprit de corps of this body. The educational benefits of the meetings, the mutual respect of the members for each other, and the satisfaction derived from the close contacts have enriched the life of every member. Dr. Pusey was aware of these unique qualities of Chicago dermatology, and he had every reason to believe that they would continue.
