Abstract
The hearts and minds of America’s children are the prize for the militant Christian Right. Their godly capitalist state unburdened by taxes or welfare will not be installed within the lifetimes of today’s leaders—only a bloody revolution, such as Fidel Castro led, could truly overturn a government, and they are not about to jeopardize themselves and their families. Instead, the militant Christian Right promotes Christian schooling in homes and in Christian schools. Along with Christian popular music, films, and general reading, Christian schooling segregates the Right’s young from its bugaboo, secular humanism. When they reach adulthood, they are trained to go out, a mighty force to subvert that godless government and institute Bible-centered law.
