Abstract

BACKGROUND: In the context of increasing public attention for scientific research in health care professions, the question is coming to the fore, how scientific activities in physiotherapy can be promoted. Even if there is no general recipe, in the jungle of promotion options phrasing promising research proposals increasingly becomes a crucial competence of researchers. OBJECTIVE/METHOD: The aim of this article was to portray the state of science in health care professions - especially in physiotherapy - and to enhance prospects of success by concrete notes concerning the development process of a research proposal. RESULT/CONCLUSION: Success variables as well as reasons for failure can be determined. However, at large phrasing a research proposal is a permanent learning process - in this context success is a relative term.
