Abstract

In scalar quantum field theory with a local, essentially non-linear, interaction a method is suggested of constructing an S-matrix which is finite in all orders of perturbation theory. The construction is made for the amplitudes of physical processes in the Euclidean region of spacelike external momenta. It is shown that there is a principle non-uniqueness when formulating the problem.
