Abstract

AbstractDemand to formulate the research question or problem for the Ph.D. Construction Management started with literature reviews and experience of practical problems. The research question's construction stands on three classifications originality, relevance, and rigour; furthermore, Ph.D. Construction Management Research Design framework formed the links and contributed to developing the research question. The research question's development would be falsifiable, observation concern by the researcher, service users, and participants involvement within Built Environment. The chosen research method is a mixed-methods (qualitative and quantitative), which is primarily qualitatively driven. This research method reinforced that descriptive theory would also support mixed methods in answering the question, which has two parts. A well-stated research question is essential to guide the thesis and pinpoints what the research is to find out, giving the inquiry a clear focus and purpose; this will be achieved. In two parts Initial Part A and Final Part B, Junctures for the research design: a review of literature in line with the research area to identify the problem or phenomenon by studying the development of an Integrated Management System Post-Disaster Reconstruction. The research question is formulated using Part A.
