Abstract

In this paper, we extend the 1N expansion formalism to include negative-parity bosons. We derive analytical expressions for the energy of the lowest Kπ = 0± bands and the electric transitions within and between these bands. The results are then applied to specific nuclei and compared with those obtained from exact calculations.
