Forms of involvement of legal entities in criminal proceedings

Abstract

Being the full participants in various fields of mod-ern Russian society, legal entities are necessarily engaged in criminal proceedings. The research pro-vides a comprehensive analysis of the legal regula-tion of the possible involvement of legal entities in this process. The author identifies that legal entities are involved in criminal proceedings in the following situations: as a victim and a civil plaintiff if it is nec-essary to protect their rights and legitimate interests violated by the crime; as a legal representative of minors or incapacitated suspects, accused or vic-tims if it is necessary to protect the rights and legit-imate interests of other persons; in order to assist in achieving the objectives of criminal proceedings by the bodies engaged in it.
