Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of approaches to the formation of the strategy of import substitution of food in the agrarian-oriented region. The indicators characterizing the dynamics of the agricultural and food sector of the Saratov region are presented. Import-substituting strategies for certain types of food products are substantiated. The main industries that form the export food potential of the region are identified. A mathematical model for the assessment and prediction of the level of food self-sufficiency in the agrarian-oriented region is proposed. The predicted values of the level of self-sufficiency in vegetables of the Saratov region are calculated. The assessment of the possibilities of export development of a particular commodity group is made.
