Abstract

The processes of melting and crystallization of Cu and Ni nanoclusters to 3.6 nm in diameter have been studied by the molecular-dynamics method. The effect of the particle size on the stability of structural modifications has been analyzed. The data obtained indicate a possibility of controlling to a certain extent the formation of the structure of Cu and Ni clusters during crystallization.
