Abstract

The current situation of educational process development in Ukraine makes an urgent issue of organizing and improving distance learning in higher education institutions. Difficulties in the education sphere caused by the pandemic and military state require a review of the distance learning basic frameworks. The article states that distance learning is not an alternative to face-to-face learning since the communication component of competencies is not properly formed. It is determined that the higher education students faced such problems as low motivation to study, deterioration of the quality of education materials, lack of communication skills with colleagues, etc. With distance learning, many types of traditional motivation do not work as effectively as in the full-time face-to-face one. The technologies which were used in distance learning during quarantine and the possibility of their use for mixed learning, e-support of face-to-face classes, etc., were analyzed. It is noted that distance learning enables the student to build an individual educational trajectory that fully meets his professional and educational abilities and needs.
