Abstract
Oxidant formation in Los Angeles atmosphere is explained by assumption that ozone is formed by nitrogen dioxide photolysis aided by rapid conversion of nitric oxide to nitrogen dioxide in presence of certain hydrocarbons. On-going investigations of the quantitative aspects of such systems are described.
