Abstract

An alternative method has been developed for fabricating high-density products from ceramics based on self-bonded silicon carbide. The product blanks are formed by slip molding of thermoplastic mixtures under pressure. The composition of the polyfractional mixture has been defined and new temporary binders, whose rheological properties ensure high density of the products, have been formulated.
