Abstract
1. A study has been made of the dependence of bubble diameter on gas flow rate when bubbling in viscous liquids (μ from 60 to 1000 cP) with small-diameter capillaries (0.5 to 2 mm). 2. Empirical relationships have been obtained, making it possible to determine a correction factor for the theoretical formula (1) as a function of gas flow rate and capillary diameter; these equations provide an increased accuracy in calculating bubble size for bubbling in viscous liquids.
