Abstract

The concept of a kicker-magnet design without a ferromagnetic core with two weakly coupled windings is presented. Such a design makes it possible to form a flat top of the deflecting magnetic field via the superposition of two bell-shaped pulses. The model design and the results of test measurements are presented.
