Abstract
Abstract Photolysis of β-(o-aryloxyphenyl)vinyl bromides in methylene chloride as well as solvolysis in 60% EtOH gave dibenz[b,f]oxepins exclusively by a new type of intramolecular cyclization of vinyl cations.
