Its solution will add new details to the formation mechanism of nanotubular structures. In addition, it will provide a material for design of nanocomposites with new properties [12, 13]. It has been previously shown [2] that the nanotube and nanoscrollshape can be controlled by varying the composition ofhydrothermal fluid. However, only a slight increase inconical nanoscroll content was observed in that case.The present study demonstrates that the conical nanoscroll content substantially increases—up to 40%—inthe samples obtained from an equimolar mixture ofMg and Nicontaining precursors.Initial compositions were prepared by the method,described elsewhere [3].
