Abstract
Oxiranyl anion generated from 2-methyl-3-triphenylsilyloxirane and sec-BuLi gave (E)-2-triphenylsilyl-2-butane or (E,E)-3-triphenyl silyl-2.4-nonadiene upon treatment with trimethylaluminium or (E)-1- hexenyldiisobutylaluminium.
